Fire mishap at Secretariat

Hyderabad: Some 70 files were burnt in a fire mishap in the all-important ‘C’ block of the Secretariat on Sunday night. The building houses the offices of the Chief Minister and top bureaucrats including the Chief Secretary. The fire that broke out in the ground floor was quickly put out by the staff and the fire tenders. Senior officials said the files are said to be related to the disciplinary action against some officials of the all India services, mainly of the IPS. How important they are could be known after talking to the heads of the sections concerned, they said.
