Hyderabad: Telangana CM-designate K Chandrasekhar Rao who is focusing on his administrative set-up called on the Governor ESL Narsimhan on Monday. This was his second meeting with the Governor in 24 hours. Rao had met the Governor along with party MLAs on Sunday.
KCR is said to have discussed various issues pertaining to administration with the first citizen of the State. He is learnt to have urged Narasimhan to see that senior bureaucrats who hail from Telangana are brought from other States or from the Centre to render their services to the new State. KCR also told the Governor that the next five year period would be most crucial for the new State and hence the Governor should help him in bringing back some of the officers whom he had identified.
It is understood KCR informed the Governor of apprehensions over continuing common entrance tests for 10 years for the students of Seemandhra and Telangana. He stressed that the T elangana students would be deprived of opportunities if common entrance tests were in place for ten years. He also appealed to the Governor to ensure justice to Telangana government employees in distribution of staff between both states.
Meanwhile, KCR wanted IAS officer Narsing Rao as his Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister in Telangana and brought up the issue with the Governor. Narsing Rao is at present serving as the chairman of Coal India. He was earlier the chairman of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Belonging to 1986 batch, he has been a strong proponent of Telangana State.
