Even after the appointed day, the roaming charges will not be applicable for the users of mobile in either state. The mobile services will continue to persist under a single telecom circle. As per the TRAI rules, there won’t be any roaming charges for the newly emerging states that evolve before 2024.
It was rather a much debated problem for quite some time. When Jharkhand got separated from Bihar, then also the roaming charges were not imposed. Till date, the consumers have been using the services as before their state bifurcation.
It turns to be good news for the people of either region. Surely, there will be long lasting relationships between the people of either region and mobiles would play a vital role in their day to day lives. Relaxation in the roaming charges is the best relief the people of either state could get.
