Hyderabad: Chief Minister-designate of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu called upon people of Seemandhra to take part in the reconstruction of the truncated AP so as to transform it into the best State of the country.

Addressing a large number of visitors, who thronged TDP headquarters here on Friday, Naidu said, “Seemandhra should be developed as one of the best States in the country in shortest possible time. I call upon every citizen from the region to contribute his or her services for the development of the new State. I assure them that I will work every second for the development of the truncated AP.”

Among those who met Naidu were industrialists, representatives of government employees and Tollywood actors including veteran film actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, Tollywood hero Ram and APNGO leader P Ashok Babu.

Meanwhile, a delegation of leaders of AP Pensioners' Association, led by Purnachandra Rao, promised the TDP chief that they would donate half day’s pension of as many as 3 lakh pensioners from the region, which amounts to Rs 9 crore, for the construction of the new capital of Seemandhra.

Speaking to APNGOs leaders, Naidu said it was not appropriate for the TRS chief to make provocative remarks against the employees of the other region with regard to a sensitive issue like employees division.

“Rao should exercise restraint while speaking on sensitive issues. A leader with that stature should not create law and order problems,” said Naidu.
