Tirumala: M venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister, on Saturday said that there was a responsibility bestowed on each and every citizen for the protection of the sanctity of Tirumala. He addressed the media on Saturday and said that the Centre would fully extend its support to prevent the smuggling activities in Sheshachalam forest area. Further, he said that the Centre will extend all possible support to either state – Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, in view of the bifurcation of the state.
Before that Venkaiah Naidu had the darshan of Lord Venkateshwara; and was offered Prasadam by the TTD officials. He visited Tirumala for the first time, after he attained the reins of power as the Union Minister.
