The president’s rule would continue in the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh till June 8 - the day TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu would take over the reins as Chief Minister of the state. Official’s sources said that the union government would issue a notification revoking the President’s rule in Telangana on Monday morning before KCR takes charge as the first CM of the new State. Governor ESL Narsimhan who has been given the additional charge of T state will take the oath as the Governor of Telangana at 6.30 am on Monday.

President’s rule was imposed in Andhra Pradesh on March 1 after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned opposing the Centre’s nod for the bifurcation of the State. The provisional allocation of officers belonging to all-India services like IAS and IPS and provisional allocation of state government officials to Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh have been done. The administration of the two states would function from the existing secretariat complex in Hyderabad where separate buildings or blocks were identified for use of Telangana and the residuary Andhra Pradesh. A trial run of the CM’s convoy was conducted on Sunday as KCR would be assuming office on Monday afternoon.
