Kadapa: YSRC chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy claimed here on Thursday that had he lied to waive farm loans the party would have come to power. Without directly referring to TDP election promise, he remarked that people would ensure the party’s defeat, including loss of deposits, after five year if its head occupied the CM’s post after uttering lies. Addressing YSRCP activists and corporators, during his first visit after the recent Assembly session, Jagan stated that the TDP ‘lies’ and ‘cheating’ would be shortly ’exposed’. Normally, he pointed out, discontent against a CM would surface after two years; but AP CM was facing it within 25 days of assuming office. By this yardstick, TDP candidates would lose deposits in the next elections.

People would revolt once they realised that the government was ‘cheating’. He expressed confidence that they would give the party 167 seats in 2019.
