Hyderabad: With the passing of the bill by the Andhra Pradesh state assembly that makes the retirement age increased from 58 yrs to 60yrs, all those state government employees who were supposed to retire on Monday will get 2 more years of extended service. This scheme is made applicable also to the employees who are otherwise supposed to retire on Monday.

Andhra Pradesh state government employees working in Telangana have also been declared eligible for this scheme, but the vice versa is not applicable.

This scheme is going to make its impact in the final division of the employees as well, for one state has increased the retirement age while the other state is following the same existing age criteria. All these factors would collectively make the division of the employees between the states, more interesting and complicated!!
