Nagaram GAIL Pipeline Victims to Get Ex Gratia on July 6. Collector Nitu Kumari on Friday said that very soon Nagaram village will be turned into a model village. She held a review meeting with the GAIL officials and the officials of Poverty Eradication in Rural Areas.
Hyderabad: Collector Nitu Kumari on Friday said that very soon Nagaram village will be turned into a model village. She held a review meeting with the GAIL officials and the officials of Poverty Eradication in Rural Areas. She instructed them to discuss and put forward a memorandum on the provision of basic amenities in Nagaram village, at the earliest.
She said that based on the instructions received from Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, a team of four directors has been established. She said that an action plan will be made ready by GAIL in accordance to the note to be submitted by the said team. The ex gratia amounting to Rs 1.02cr will be given to the families of the victims by Chinna Rajappa, one of the two Deputy Chief Ministers, on Sunday. She also said that orders have been received from the Union Petroleum ministry to send a sample of the pipeline from the portion of accidental area.
