Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday asked the bureaucrats to be liberal and have vision for development. He wanted the officers to plan for the overall development of the State with commitment and dedication. He unveiled "Vision 2029" at the first conference of the district Collectors here and said the new vision was continuation of his earlier "Vision 2020".

The Chief Minister unveiled the Vision 2029 statement giving priority to seven issues of making agriculture profitable, promoting service and industrial sectors, providing infrastructure, advancing knowledge, social empowerment and technology. He wanted the officials, particularly the district Collectors to gear up, set the administration on the track and proceed towards progress.

He also wanted the Collectors to focus on the resources available in their respective districts and ensure that they were put to best use for the overall development of the people. He also advised them to be answerable to the people and make them feel the benefits of good governance.

He wanted the Collectors to think out of the box and extend invitations to the industrialists for investment in their respective districts. The Collectors should be able to identify the resources available and offer them for industrialization, employment generation and overall development of the State.

The two deputy chief ministers K E Krishna Murthy and N Chinarajappa, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, several Ministers, chief secretary I V R Krishna Rao, senior officers and Collectors of all 13 districts were present at the meeting.
