Hyderabad: After the adjournment of Andhra Pradesh state assembly on Monday, the Tuesday session has begun at 9.a.m. Gottiapati Ravi Kumar, the MLA of Addenki, has raised the issue of fake seeds in the state assembly. Dissent over the reply given by the agriculture minister, more questions in an upshot were posed by the YSR Congress Party MLA.
Gottipati said that the farmers have been bluffed with fake seeds, which are offered at a price of Rs 400-500. He said that the seeds from the cold storages have been supplied as the original seeds, whereas in actuality the seeds need to be procured from the farmers directly and are needed to be supplied afresh. Continuously he posed questions in the state assembly.
The second day session of state assembly began with the question hour under rule 344 to discuss the problems being faced by Andhra Pradesh after state bifurcation. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, the speaker of the Andhra Pradesh state assembly, gave notices to this effect.
