Guntur: Engineering dies in road mishap

Early on Thursday, an engineering student died near Puttur on the outskirts of Guntur on the National Highway No 16. The victim has been identified as Mannava Naveen (19). He was on his way to the college on a two wheeler at the time of when a tipper lorry hit his bike from the back. The locals rushed Naveen to a nearby private hospital, immediately. He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. It is learnt that Naveen was a second year B.E. student at RVR & JC Engineering College. Classmates of Naveen reached the hospital immediately after knowing the matter. More details in the matter are awaited.

Currently, mishaps have been on a rise. Let it be a mishap on the road or fire or otherwise, the main reason turns to be the reckless attitude of the people. There is a need to exact the situation so as to prevent the accidents. Surely, if timely preventive measures would have been adopted, most of the accidents could have been avoided. The people need to be educated. Better and wide publicity through the mass media channels may be opted for the same. Entertainment-Education concepts are most befitting in this case and will surely prove effective.
