Guntur: A second year engineering student, Mannava Naveen(19), was killed on Thursday in a road accident on the national highway 16 on the outskirts of the town.
The mishap occurred when the two-wheeler he was riding to R V R & J C Engineering College, Choudavaram, was hit by a tipper from behind. The youth died later in a private hospital while undergoing treatment, the police said. Students in large numbers visited the hospital.
