TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu took oath as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at the Acharya Nagarjuna University in between Vijayawada and Guntur. Ever since rumours of there being a capital being situated there haven't stopped. The prices of lands in the vicinity jacked up overnight. Buying lands in Numburu, Kaja, Kanteru, Tatikonda, Amaravathi road, Ponnekallu, Mangalagiri, Nerukonda, Nidamarru, Parimi, Athmakuru and the surrounding areas of Guntur will cost you a fortune as the prices have skyrocketed.

The real estate people have bought acres of lands in the nearby villages without the VUDA approval. They have even laid 20- 30 feet roads. Nearly 100s of ventures have come up in the past three months. Agents are selling huge chunks of lands showing brochures.

The same scene happened in Amaravathi, Nuziveedu, Gannavaram and Agiripalli when rumours started floating that the capital region could be anywhere around these areas. Though Chandra Babu Naidu announced in assembly that capital will be near Vijayawada, he hasn’t mentioned the exact place., This has caused confusion and led to a chaotic situation for buyers. Adding to this MPs and MLAs are busy dropping names. people are expecting an official statement on the capital. Till then, it’s a feast for the Realtors.
