The three have been awarded a punishment in the matter concerning attacks on Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the then and present Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on October 1, 2003. The accused have been awarded four years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 500 each.

It is evident that on the same day Chandrababu was on his way to offer sacred clothes to lord Venkateshwara, when he was attacked by three men. Including Naidu, many others narrowly escaped with minor injuries in that incident. More details in the matter are awaited.
