Anantpur/Visakhapatnam: Ten persons were injured, four seriously, on Sunday when two groups of Telugu Desam and YSR Congress activists clashed at Veerapuram in Tadipatri mandal of Anantapur district. Hunting sickles were allegedly used in the incident. The condition of four persons was stated to be serious. They were hospitalised.
In Visakhapatnam district, a TDP activist, Janaki, of Mangalavaripet in Munagapaka mandal was assaulted allegedly by YSRCP supporters. She complained to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that the attack had taken place while she was distributing rice to cyclone victims.
