Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu in a tireless attempt in building a capital city, for technical and construction plans approached Singapore and Japan for their assistance.

The chief minister settling for nothing less than a world class capital, expects Singapore and Japan to play a major role in the inception of AP’s new capital city.

Mr.naidu’s and his team’s visit to Japan was double motived ,firstly to request help for constructing the capital and secondly to attract investments to the state .His visit to Singapore however was only to request the authorities to help AP in its efforts of capital building .

Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, AP’s special representative in Delhi and former MP, accompanied Mr Naidu to both Singapore and Japan, said that they received positive response from both the countries for construction of the capital.

Singapore will prepare a master plan for the construction of the capital city and after thoroughly studying the plan, Japan would subsequently work on the possible technical help it can render during the construction. The Singapore government has assured to submit the master plan by January.

After 45 days ,Industrialists from Japan would visit AP to discuss about setting up of their units in the state and the areas they can invest in .

A high-level meeting is likely to be held on Monday in order to discourse the AP capital development authority (CRDA) draft bill and on issuing the ordinance. Also the CRDA rules prepared by the officials will be reviewed and an Ordinance will be issued on the Capital Authority Bill if consented by the chief minister.

“All processes concerning the capital authority will most likely be completed by the end of December” said Mr. Naidu.
