Is Chandrababu Naidu Serious About Farmer Loan Waiver. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu rose to power in the recent elections promising loan waivers. However even after so many months, he did not even take any concrete steps on loan waiver which is resulting in opposition parties like YSRCP attacking him questioning his seriousness on the whole issue.

YSRCP leaders have time and again slammed Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet ministers saying only when their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy announces dharna on loan waiver, does the TDP turn its focus on the issue. They allege that the Government is just passing time saying cock and bull stories to farmers and Dwakra women on loan waiver.
Only recently, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister held a meeting with ministers sub committees formed for crop loan waivers. According to agriculture minister Prattipati Pulla Rao, the AP Government is planning to clear crop loans below Rs 50,000. Many say this is another gimmick as 50000 is a small amount and loans of farmers go beyond that.
Chandrababu is expected to announce his decision on the farm loan waiver issue today. Let's see what happens.
