YSRCP’s criticism on loan waiver meaningless: AP Dy CM

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy had brushed aside the criticism mounted by the main Opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on the crop loan wavier scheme announced by the State government.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said the State government had pursued the crop loan wavier scheme despite several hurdles coming on its way and announced its implementation. But, leader of the main Opposition party YS Jaganmohan Reddy had earlier opposed the implementation of the scheme claiming that its implementation would be impossible and the TDP was misleading the farmers.

However, with the implementation of the first phase of the scheme, the government had proved its commitment to the farmers in the State. He criticised the YSRCP’s plan of protests against the crop loan wavier scheme as meaningless. He further clarified that when the first phase could be implemented, farmers would gain confidence, and the second phase would also be implemented once the data of beneficiary accounts were finalised.

And, that would put an end to the Opposition's attack of government on crop loan wavier scheme. On land acquisition front, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government had given top priority to the land pooling process.
