Vijayawada: Over 75,000 Bhavani devotees had darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga atop Indrakeeladri on Monday, the fourth day of Deeksha Viramana. The devotees started arriving at the abode of Goddess Kanaka Durga from the early hours of the day to relinquish their Deeksha. Prior to relinquishment of their Deeksha, they performed Giri Pradakshana. Later, they took a holy dip in the Krishna river and visited the Durga temple. Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam made elaborate arrangements to meet the devotee rush on the concluding day of Deeksha Viramana on Tuesday.

Executive Officer Ch Narasinga Rao said the temple got an income of Rs 25,64,575 through Hundi offerings till 6 pm on Monday. Free meal was provided to 8,000 devotees under the Nitya Annadanam Scheme of the temple on the fourth day of Deekha Viramana. Many devotees donated money to the temple for Nitya Annadanam Scheme.
