AP, Telangana stick to their stands

Hyderabad: The stalemate between AP and Telangana states over the issue of conducting Eamcet examination continues as the meeting convened by Governor ESL Narsimhan for the second time in last few days failed to arrive at any decision. Another meeting is likely to be called by the Governor on Monday.

The Governor summoned AP Human resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Telangana Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy in a bid to resolve the issue amicably. After hearing the version of ministers, the Governor reportedly asked them to ensure that the controversy does not hurt the interest of students of both the States.

The Governor held separate meetings with Ganta earlier in the day. While the AP minister refused to reveal the outcome of the meeting and said that they reiterated their stand, the TS minister left Raj Bhavan without making any comment. It is learnt that both stuck to their respective stands.
