A visibly angry Shah was said to have explained to them that the BJP would not mind pulling out of alliance with the TDP, if such things recur. He asked them to face up to such bullying leaders and reach the target membership drive. As a political party, BJP had the right to strengthen its base regardless of how its alliance partner took it, he maintained. Shah was also understood to have assured the party leaders that he would speak to Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to get due share in all nominated posts for the BJP in the State.
