AP to take relook at SC reservation classification
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government will take a relook into its earlier decision of classification of reservation of SCs, following the changed situation after the bifurcation of the State. According to AP Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu, the TDP which had strongly supported the classification of reservation of SCs in the past when the State was united was now reexamining the issue since the division of the State had created a new situation.
In the new scenario, AP has large number of people from Mala community while Telangana State has majority of the Madiga community. The government is now taking a fresh look at the issue before it decides on supporting the classification of Malas or not. He alleged that without understanding the real situation, Manda Krishna Madiga was leveling wild allegations against the TDP and on many occasions had even resorted attacks on the TDP.
