Ongole: An intricate murder plot is suspected to have been hatched in the murder of Shaik Basha who came from Turpuganga village under Talluru mandal in Prakasam district. He is a father of two young children. Bash, bicycle shop owner, went missing for last 20 days. His relatives alleged that a man from Guntur had gone to the house of Basha and took the latter along with him.

Police suspect that a complex relationship between Basha and a woman in Guntur could have led to his murder. But his family members are reticent about the possibility of Basha being murdered for a different reason. Basha, the police said, had organised chits in a big way.

He reportedly mobilised not less than Rs 2 crore from 250 subscribers. His wife and relatives are too scared to admit that Basha could have met with violent death because the chit fund subscribers might put pressure on them for refund of their money. Meanwhile, the police expressed the suspicion that the woman with whom Basha had relations could have engineered the plot and saw to it that he was murdered to grab his money. The police are confident that they would crack the mystery behind the murder in two to three days.
