Gorantla derides Jagan’s fast

Rajahmundry: Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary has described YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s two-day hunger- strike as an ‘utter flop’.

He told the media here on Sunday that Jagan’s fast was intended to ‘register his political presence and gain politically’.

Chowdary contended that the Opposition leader’s hunger-strike was ‘meaningless’ in the context of the
people becoming aware of the government’s tight spot in view of the budget deficit and that yet it was honouring the party’s election promises.
