He said he had explained explained all the hurdels and handicaps to several union ministers including Venkaiah Naidu at the NITI Aayog meeting yesterday that injustice has been caused to state after bifurction in sharing of revenues .' Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has assured me that AP would get more assistance than what is provided in the ACt ', he said .

Chandrababu Naidu said it was the responsibility of the centre to give us assistance till AP could achieve level playing field in the realm of revenue genration and funding its welfare and development activities.


He said AP a state with 59% of population has received only 48.5% percent of the total revenues collected till January 2015. Where as the state with 42% popultion ( Telengana ) has got the major share of 52% of the total revenues ". The revenue collected in seven months since bifurcation has been compiled and being shared now , he said .

CP also nnounced a 43 % fitment in the wage revision as recommended by the 10th Pay revivion committee ( PRC) .on fitment of wages for the 4.2 lakh employees . His his announcement came hours after the cabinet sub committee met on the PRC report this afternoon . ' The PRC impact will be applicable to 3.4 llakh pensioners also , he said.

Naidu told media ate evening that his government has accepted the recommendation of 43% fitment made by the PRC in the interests of the emplyees welfare in spite of the critical financial status of the state .“Despite Andhra Pradesh facing several challenges after unscientific bifurcation, we have taken this decision to fulfill the aspirations of our employees,” he said.

According to the Chief Minister, the state is staring at a revenue deficit. of around 11 % “We have innumerable challenges. I have spoken about this at the Chief Minister’s meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi yesterday.”
