The port city of Visakhapatnam on the east coast is all set to be the gateway as tourist destination of South east Asia.

No wonder it is attracting the world's cruising casino to its shores this summer month. The famous Malaysia-based conglomerate Genting Group’s, Cruises to Nowhere, which is famous for offshore gambling and as a short getaway is all set to be stationed off Vizag soon.

Cruises to Nowhere, operated in international waters, are a hit in some cities across the globe, especially in the US. Besides Mumbai, Chennai and Goa till now, Visakhapatnam has been added to its itinerary this year. Thanks to the initiative taken by the AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the AP government has cleared the request of Genting Group and other entertainment groups to bring Cruises to Nowhere to Vizag.

Basically the trip lasts for 1-3 days of merry making on the high seas- including endless gambling and shopping rendezvous. But all visitors need to have their passports, their ID cards and clear customs and immigration approvals as it is nothing but a visit to a foreign country-a mobile Las Vegas-they say.

Earlier operators of the Cruise to Nowhere had offered a Rs. 6000 tariff from Chennai in 2011 and Rs.11000 from Mumbai and Goa.

The chief marketing officer of Malindo Air, Chandran Ravi told reporters that Vizag has great tourism potential and the locals can get a feel of casinos and other cruise life at very affordable tariffs. It is a win win situation as Vizag has similar weather and sea conditions of Malaysia.

The Lambasingi, Araku Valley can be described as the Europe on East Coast. Temple of Surya and Narasimha at Simhachalam have great following in South east. So the gambling casinos and shopping extravaganza will be an unforgettable moment to Malaysians and East coast towns of AP including Vizag, it is said.

So be prepared for an eventful pleasure trip this summer and a brief voyage to Cruise to Nowhere.
