Criticizing Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he said for political mileage, the party was using the Andhra Pradesh “special status” issue and questioned how the issue could be included into the President’s address to Parliament in the Budget Session. Further, he also blamed the TD Government’s failure to acquire the special status tag so far on Congress.
Recently, Mrs Gandhi had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill the promises made to AP and to incorporate the assurances in the upcoming President’s address to Parliament.
Commitments made in the Reorganization Act and the special status tag would be finalized in a week said the Minister and also informed that the railway minister Suresh Prabhu has assured a new Railway Zone in Vizag.
