The Andhra Pradesh Government plans to transform and convert all tribal and social welfare hostels into Residential schools to achieve maximum mileage and also optimize performance of the tribal students.


Disclosing this, the state social welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu said at Vizianagaram today that the government plans to organize a two-day state Girijan Utsav at Araku from March 14-15 to focus the national attention on rich bouquet of heritage, culture and traditions of tribal’s in the state.


He said two more tribal residential colleges were slated to come up at Vizianagaram which has a large tribal population. Government has also decided to set up a Girijan Bhavan at a cost of Rs Two crore and an Ambedkar Bhavan at Rs One crore in the district .
