Chandrababu turning Farmers into defaulters, says YS Jagan Appealing to the distressed people and farmers to join hands to fight against the injustice being meted out by TDP government, YSRC President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked them not to resort to suicides as good days were ahead.

Palyam (Ananthapuram): Appealing to the distressed people and farmers to join hands to fight against the injustice being meted out by TDP government, YSRC President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked them not to resort to suicides as good days were ahead. The dark era will soon come to an end in Andhra Pradesh, he said.

The leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly said at a public meeting that Chandrababu Naidu promised total loan waiver of agriculture and DWACRA women groups were widely published, circulated through media, hoardings with other publicity avenues, but the AP CM had sidestepped the issue reducing the beneficiary base by his own wrong assessment after becoming Chief Minister by cheating people.

While the official bankers’ figures of agriculture loans before election were Rs 87,612 crores, the recent bankers’ meeting chaired by the Chief Minister has said that the loans as on December 31, 2014 accounted to Rs 99,000 crores, the difference being the penal interest accrued during the nine months. But what Chandrababu doled out was a meager Rs 4,400 crore, he said.

Jagan said no fresh loans are coming from the banks and farmers are forced to go to private money lenders. Farmers and women groups have become defaulters and have to pay penal interest.

YSRC president said the TDP government had pooh-poohed the opposition claim of 86 farmers’ suicides just to deny them payment of ex-gratia and declared that Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the all suicides of farmers and every section of society-weavers, women were hit by Babu’s deception and not fulfilling poll promises.

“People are migrating to other states for food and work and those who cannot go are committing suicides and if elections are held today, people will throw the TDP as they did to BJP in Delhi,” he said.
