Anantapur: District collector Kona Sasidhar directed the officials to take adequate steps on complaints received from people in the Meekosam programme and resolve their problems. Participating in the Meekosam programme at Revenue Bhavan in the Collectorate here on Monday where he received complaints from the people, he said changes were made in the previous Prajavani programme by introducing a new software, uploading it into the Meekosam portal to make it more accountable to the citizens. It was an improvement over the Prajavani programme, he said.

The district collector said if there was any difficulty in the use of the software or the implementation of the Meekosam programme, the officials should give a feedback to the government. He went around various counters where complaints were received and gave some suggestions to the staff on how to note down the problems.

On Monday, 210 complaints were received at the Meekosam programme with regard to issues relating to revenue, agriculture, MGNREGS and education. Joint collector Lakshmikantham, additional joint collector Syed Khwaja Mohiuddin, Zilla Parishad CEO Ramachandra and officials of the RWS and DFO were present.
