After division of personnel and land assets it is now the turn of sharing the artifacts and heritage treasures between both AP and Telangana. Distribution of artifacts in the museums of both states is pending as the search of a suitable person to chair the committee constituted by the governments of the two States is still going on.

Absence of museums in the both states is the prime reason for the delay, as most of the artifacts are housed in the museums in Hyderabad. Both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have deputed two members each for a committee that will take up distribution of artifacts pending says G.V. Ramakrishna Rao, Director of the Department of Archaeology and Museums of Andhra Pradesh.

Search is on for an expert, for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that is to be approved by both the State governments. The AP Govt. is building a state-of-the art facility at the Victoria State Museum in Vijayawada to house the artifacts. INTACH spokesman M. Gopalakrishna says there is a lot of confusion over the method to be adopted to undertake the distribution.
