The countdown began on Thursday at 5.49 a.m. for the launch of the fourth Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS-1D) from the Satish Dhawan Indian Space Research Centre (SHAR) at Sriharikota into the orbit through the PSLVC-27 rocket and it would zoom into the sky on Saturday evening. In this connection, the space scientists have carried out rehearsals successfully so that it could be launched on Saturday.

Sullurpet (Nellore): The countdown began on Thursday at 5.49 a.m. for the launch of the fourth Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS-1D) from the Satish Dhawan Indian Space Research Centre (SHAR) at Sriharikota into the orbit through the PSLVC-27 rocket and it would zoom into the sky on Saturday evening. In this connection, the space scientists have carried out rehearsals successfully so that it could be launched on Saturday.

SHAR Director Prasad also held an MRI meeting at Brahma Prakash Hall at SHAR. The solar satellite launch vehicle which was taken up at a cost of Rs 350 crore would be launched from the second experimental laboratory at Sriharikota. The motor has already been filled up with 2.5 tonnes of liquid fuel under the fourth phase. The satellite’s electronic network has been thoroughly examined to test its feasibility.
