AP Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana has announced that a second Telugu Ganga pipeline to Tirupati will be laid to meet the growing drinking water needs of Tirupati and Tirumala.
The new pipeline costing Rs.25 to Rs.30 crore would be laid and a second summer storage tank would also be built under which two 450 HP motors would be installed at Ramapuram. “At present, Tirupati gets 52 MLD of water against its requirement of 65 MLD.” he said.
