A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday directed B Madhava Naidu MLA Narsapur constituency to be present in court on Wednesday. The bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyothi Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar was dealing with a suo motto contempt case against the MLA. As reported earlier, the bench had ordered the removal of illegal encroachments adjacent to Narsapur Court Complex.

When the authorities were removing the encroachments, it is alleged that the MLA interfered with the officials from carrying out the court orders. Taking the action of the MLA as an attack on the judicial system, the bench initiated the current contempt petition. “If the MLA is not present on the day, they will not deliver the verdict and they will depute the concerned official to secure the presence of the MLA for the next date of the judgment”, the bench said adjourned the matter for judgement.
