D Srinivas, Additional Advocate General informed the court that no land belonging to farmers in the proposed capital region would be taken without following due process of law.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Siva Lakshma Reddy and other farmers of the CRDA area questioning the action of the state government in acquiring land in the name of a new capital for the state. The petitioners complained that their land was being taken without their approval.

Additional Advocate General informed the court that several farmers came forward to give lands under land pooling scheme. Lands of other farmers will be acquired as per new land acquisition Act and no one will be dispossessed except as provided under law. The judge recorded the statement of the Additional Advocate General and adjourned the case.
