Karat was speaking to reporters here ahead of the party Congress which will commence on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, CPM Politburo member S. Ramachandran Pillai said that the party Congress would discuss only the organisational affairs. He downplayed the reports about the dispute in party over election of new general secretary.
The Visakhapatnam Congress will be crucial for the party as it is going through a crisis at national level. The outcome of the meet is likely to determine the future of the party, political observers believe. The party central Committee and politburo will meet today to chalk out the agenda of the meet.
