Global Left parties greet CPM

Visakhapatnam: On the convention of the 21st National Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), over 19 Communists parties across the world conveyed their messages of greetings.The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party China (IDCPC) in their message said that over the years the CPM was an important force in India which adhered to friendly policy towards China. At present, the international situation is going through complex changes.
Against such a backdrop, China and India, two representatives of the developing countries, need all the more to work together to realise joint progress. General Secretary Syed Abu Zafar Ahmed of Communist Party of Bangladesh said that the party which has a long and rich history and tradition and a matured leadership will be able to formulate appropriate political and tactical line.

Worker’s party of Belgium said as the communists all over the world is facing enormous challenges, it is more than ever before our societies need a profound system change, socialism. “Our party salutes the struggle of the CPM to mobilise the Indian people against this attack and to defeat the forces of chauvinism and religious fundamentalism in the service of imperialism,” said General Secretary of Communist Party of Britain Robert Griffiths.
Communist Party of Cuba expressed their gratitude to the CPI for their solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and for the recent victories of their people including the return to the homeland of Five Heroes which is the result of the militant solidarity of the CPM. “Our two countries and political parties share common history of struggles against colonialism and imperialism,” said AKEL, the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus.
Communist Party of Germany in its message referred many issues of political debates in India which are similar to them. Communist Party of Greece expressed their views on CPI for the struggle of the workers and of the poor popular masses of India for their rights, against the repression of the reactionary forces.“We are sure that your congress will discuss the grave economic crisis and the challenges in front of the left forces in India,” said Palestian People’s Party.
Communist Party of USA, in its message, said it has high regard for the CPM’s valiant struggles over many years against violence and terror unleashed on its cadre. The Japan Communist Party said, “The party will have a desired outcome to win struggles against communalism and radicalism.” Communist Party of Sri Lanka said that the conference is being held at a decisive moment of Indian history in the background of a marked rightwing shift in domestic politics. Also, communist parties of Russian Federation, Vietnam, Hungary, Philippines and Australia greeted the CPM on the occasion.
