YS Jagan who is now on a Project Bata yatra visited and inspected Prakasam Barrage on Thursday. Prakasam Barrage's water capacity of 3 TMC will have no storage point for Godavari water in the Pattiseema project as there are no reservoirs to store water en route.
While the polavaram Project with water storage capacity of 124 TMC is in a limbo, the Chandrababu government is determined to complete the project on fast track and the contractors behind them would siphon off Rs 300 crore in the process,YS Jagan said, adding that contractors have quoted 21.9 % excess.
Pulichintala project, 90 per cent of whose works have been completed, is now being sidelined by Chandrababu government. If Pulichintala project is completed, 40 TMC of water could be stored YSRCP chief quipped charging that Just for a kick back of Rs.300 crores, Chandrababu Naidu is keeping farmers life at stake to benefit contractors.
