Releasing a CD of the results here for the first time after State bifurcation, Minister for Human Resources Development and Education Ghanta Srinivasa Rao said that girls were well ahead of boys with 67.03 per cent result. The boys lagged behind with 59.06 per cent result, he said. The Minister informed that Krishna district topped the list by achieving 76 per cent result. Kadapa district remained in last position with 52 per cent, he said.

The Minister said that the total pass percentage stands at 62.98 in general category and 49.63 in vocational category. A total 4,61,932 candidates appeared for the examination under general category and 26,913 in vocational category. Of the total candidates, as many as 2,90,939 candidates passed in general category and 13,357 candidates in vocational category. However, the result of no candidate withheld this year, he said.

The Minister said that a total 1,51,652 students passed in Grade A (greater than or equal to 75 per cent marks), which comes around 52.13 per cent in general category and 8,014 candidates passed in vocational category marking 60 per cent pass. In Grade B (60 per cent to 75 per cent marks), 81,573 students passed in general category and 4,946 candidates in vocational category. In Grade C (50 per cent and less than 60 per cent), a total 39,969 candidates passed in general category and 379 in vocational category.

Under Grade D (35 per cent and less than 50 per cent marks), a total 17,745 candidates passed in general category and 18 candidates in vocational category, he said. The Minister said that when compared to the results of last three years, highest percentage of 62.98 was registered this year against 58.74 last year and 58.79 during 2013. The Minister said that the marks list of all the candidates would be sent to the concerned Regional Inspection Officers within two days.

“If there is any discrepancy found in the marks list, the candidates should bring it to the notice of Intermediate Board through college principals concerned before May 23,” he said. The Minister informed that the last date for payment of examination fee for Intermediate advanced supplementary examinations is May 1. “There is no provision for payment of examination fee with penalty after due date. The Intermediate advanced supplementary examinations will be held from May 25.

The candidates who wish to avail the recounting or supply of ‘photo copy- cum re-verification of valued answer papers’ should pay Rs 100 per paper for recounting and Rs 600 for re-verification, through Mee Seva centres. The last date for online payment of fee towards recounting or re-verification is May 1,” the Minister said.
