Opposing the forceful acquisition of farmlands, farmers from Undavalli, Nidamarru, Penumaka and other villages located within the limits of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), began their 48 hour protest at Penumaka.

Questioning the ministers and government officials on why the farmers were being threatened to choose from land pooling scheme or the Land Acquisition Act, the protesting farmers under the leadership of G Naresh Reddy stated that they are determined to continue their protest.
