Former minister organises mass marriages

On the occasion of the birthday of former minister T G Venkatesh on Saturday, mass marriages were performed. For the past 15 years, the former minister has been giving Rs 20,000 and clothes to each newly married couple belonging to the Hindu, Christian and Muslim communities on the occasion of his birthday on May 16. This year, Venkatesh provided Rs 20,000 each to 54 couples who got married in his presence on Saturday.
