Sandeep hails from Guntur but is settled in Ranga Reddy district. The results of TS-Eamcet were announced by Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) here on Thursday.


AP students bagged about five ranks under top 10 in both the streams. Interestingly, Donthula Akshith Reddy from Telangana who bagged first rank in the engineering stream of AP-Eamcet had to settle with 10th rank in Telangana Eamcet. This year, of 1,28,162 candidates appeared for the engineering stream, 1,04,373 qualified the test. Of the total qualified, ranks were given to 90,556 candidates accounting to 70.65 per cent.


While in agriculture and medical streams, 84,659 candidates appeared and 78,983 cleared the test. Of the qualified, ranks were given to 72,794 which accounts to 85.98 per cent. In engineering, 88.95 per cent of Andhra Pradesh students were awarded ranks while only 68.89 per cent Telangana students were given ranks.


Moparthi Sai SandeepAnd in agriculture and medical stream, 96.55 per cent of Andhra Pradesh students got their ranks and about 81.99 per cent Telangana students were awarded ranks. To improve the transparency, the JNTU-H officials would make the scanned copy of the OMR answer sheets of all the candidates available on the website www.tseamcet.in from May 29 to June 2.


Candidates can download the OMR sheets from website and can submit their representation regarding any discrepancy in the evaluation by paying Rs 5000 (Rs 2000 in case of SC&ST) through the same website between May 29 and June 2. The rank cards would be made available on the website from June 3 and candidates can download the same.


Kadiyam said the admissions process would commence with certificate verification from June 18-24. Candidates can exercise web options from June 20-26. Final phase of counselling will be held on July 9 and 10 with certificate verification and options can be entered from July 9 to 11. Candidates should report to their colleges between July 15 and 20. “We are planning to start classes from July 21. Detail information will be placed on the JNTU website,” Srihari informed. The first TS Eamcet was conducted by JNTU-H on May 14.
