Botcha joins YSRCP, vows to fight Naidu. Former APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana along with his wife, other family members and few Congress leaders from Vizianagaram district joined on Sunday joined the YSR Congress Party this morning.

Hyderabad: Former APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana along with his wife, other family members and few Congress leaders from Vizianagaram district joined on Sunday joined the YSR Congress Party this morning.

Speaking to mediapersons soon after joining the YSRCP at Lotus Pond party office here, the former minister said he did not embrace YSRCP for the sake of any posts but to vanquish Chandrababu Naidu’s party in the battle of ballot in the next elections.

“The Congress party did not cheat me. Fighting the ruling TDP by remaining in the Congress will be futile. Therefore, I joined the Jagan’s party, which alone can humble the TDP”, he added. Alleging that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu failed to implement even a single promise during his one-year rule, Botcha slammed the AP Chief Minister for falsely claiming that he had waived crop loans to the tune of Rs 24,000 crore, while he had merely earmarked Rs 9,000 crore in the budget for the purpose.

He also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu government was totally ignoring the backward North Andhra coastal region in the matter of development. “I would do everything with my vast experience for the victory of the YSRCP in the next elections. As the YSRCP is the only alternative to the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, it’s time the people of the State to launch agitation against the Chandrababu Naidu government”, he added.
