Tirupati: Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister P Naryana demanded the implementation of Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act. He said that their government would go all out for the implementation of Section 8 to protect the interests of the people of AP in Hyderabad. Narayana said the meeting was held as part of the state-wide exercise by ruling party on the occasion of its government completing one year in office and to assess its performance and also to discuss the future initiatives to continue the development process.

The Minister, who was all praise for CM Chandrababau Naidu, said the State was fortunate to have such a dynamic and visionary leader as CM and claimed that despite the State facing severe financial constrains, the CM was (CM) able to fulfil many of the election promises.

The minister went on listing the achievements of the TD government in the past one year, including completion or expediting works on the pending irrigation projects, strengthening welfare schemes, ensuring 24-hour power supply to domestic sector and 7-hour power supply to farmers free of cost and so on.

On the development of Chittoor district, the Minister said the district was poised to become number one in the State with the Chief Minister initiating several developmental activities, particularly development of industries and education in the district.

Forests and Environment minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy said that arrangements were on to conduct Godavari Pushkaram on a grand scale and invited the people of the district to participate in the mega event.

Newly elected MLC Gali Mudduukrishnama Naidu fumed at YSRCP, which he said in its frantic efforts to defame the CM and tarnish the image of his government, stooped to the level of joining hands with TRS, ignoring the fact that it was TRS which was responsible for the woes of six crore people of Andhra Pradesh.

He also accused the YSRCP and TRS of creating a sense of insecurity and fear among Seemandhra people in Hyderabad. MP N Sivaprasad, MLAs M Suguna, G Sankar, D A Satyaprabha, ZP chairperson Geervani and others were present.
