The representatives of joint action committee of state municipal workers union represented by Uma Maheswara Rao and A Ranganayukulu held talks with Minister for finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Minister for labour K. Achennaidu and Minister for municipal administration P Narayana.


The demands accepted by the state government include no cut in wages for the strike period of 16 days with the workers compensating the work during holidays for 16 days, hike in wages to the tune of Rs 2,700 to contract and outsourcing worker, issue of health cards, provident fund benefit and implementation of PRC to regular workers on par with NGOs.
