Hyderabad: The YSRCP has decided to postpone the proposed indefinite hunger strike of its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Guntur as the High Court on Friday refused to accept a house motion challenging the decision of AP police not to grant permission.

Jagan’s Deeksha was originally planned from Saturday at Guntur demanding grant of ‘special statuses to Andhra Pradesh.

Upset over the police orders which came at the eleventh hour when the party had almost made all arrangements,

the party filed a house motion seeking its direction to the AP government to accord permission.

But the high court chief justice rejected the motion and said that they should move it in regular court.After rejection of the plea by the high court, YSRCP leaders held a meeting at Lotus pond and decided to postpone the strike.
