(Right) Doctors examining blood pressure of Jagan.Nallapadu Road (Guntur): YSRCP honorary president Y S Vijayamma paid a visit to the indefinite fast camp of her son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and expressed concern at his declining health and pulse rate which is going down every hour. His blood pressure was 120/90 and sugar levels 87 and his pulse rate 66.

Although all his vitals are near to normal, his overall health condition is deteriorating, according to the medical bulletin released on Saturday morning.

Addressing people after spending some time with Jagan, Vijayamma told the people that she had commended her son on the very day when he quit Congress and launched his own political party.

"Ever since my son is in your service, he had always been fighting for your cause and consoling you whenever you were in crisis. Despite several obstacles Jagan always rose to the occasion when it came to people's aspirations and problems," Vijayamma said.

She appealed to the people of the State to bless her son and the cause for which he is fighting for. Vijayamma reminded the people that the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the floor of the Lok Sabha gave an assurance of according special status to AP.

“Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu went a step ahead and demanded special status to State for 10 years. But all the assurances given in the parliament on special status had gone with the wind,” she regretted.

The YSRCP honorary president said that special status is AP's right and neither the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu can dilute it nor the BJP can reject it. Special status facilitates industrial development and employment generation to the people, she added.

Vijayamma said that she was at a loss to understand why Naidu is fighting shy to demand what is AP's right. The Chief Minister is busy touring Singapore and other countries for capital building but he conveniently ignored all his poll promises which capitulated him to power.

She returned to Hyderabad after spending an hour at the deeksha camp.Earlier, the state CPM secretary P Madhu met the fasting Jagan and enquired about his health. He also announced his party's support to the cause.

He took a dig at the Chief Minister for conveniently forgetting about all his poll promises. “Naidu advocated vociferously for special status before he came to power,

but of late, he has been maintaining silence on the issue for reasons best known to him,” he said. He also criticised the Chief Minister for spending a whopping Rs 400 crore on the capital fete arrangements.
