Kakinada: The CPI {ML} Liberation of AP called for protection of natural resources, prevention of illegal mining and privatisation of mines in AP particularly in East Godavari.

In a seminar organised at Suryakalamandir in Kakinada on Monday, speakers alleged that the laterite mining at Vantada, Anumarti, Rowtulapudi,Ondregula in Sankhavaram mandal, bauxite at Nagulakonda in Agency of East Godavari were either leased to private parties or mining process going on in illegal way.

The speakers also alleged that this practice has been going on since the year 2005.

The seminar called upon the tribal population who attended in large numbers from these mandals, to fight collectively against these illegal activities and for protection of environment and natural resources.
