In a faculty development programme organised at the SDM Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala by its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Tuesday, Director for placement and training at VISWA Institute of Technology, Kavali Prof. Raj Kumar addressed the teachers on importance of being ready to learn latest advancements and acquire technological knowledge.

Speaking on the occasion, Raj Kumar said that the teaching industry is highly regarded and is a noble profession that has been respected since ages. “Teachers must follow four words–Play, Prepare, Practice and Present—in their course of action. Students should be encouraged to acquire skills and teachers should initiate their interests such that they understand their strengths and weaknesses,” he said.

“Teachers should approach students with a positive mind and stay away from criticism. A lot of emphasis has to be made on students to make them realise the values of relationships and not material possessions,” said Raj Kumar. College principal T Vijaya Lakshmi, IQAC Director T Rama Devi and other faculty members were present during the event.
